Today was the first day of real rain we have had since June.  It poured down today and everything in sight is completely wet.  Our lawn has been so dry we haven't even mowed for 2 months but that is about to change.  It was still warm, even though it was raining.  It was 70 today, which is a big change from the 80 and 90 degree weather we have had for the last couple of months.  It is funny to listen to people in town talk about the rain.  Most people are glad that it is raining and cooler but there is definatly a percentage of the population who wishes the high temperatures would last a little longer.

Construction Walls

We are remodeling our house and today is the first day we have had walls.  It is nice to finally get to this point.  It is funny how fast things move once the walls start coming up.  We had a lot of floor and foundation work to do so it took a while to get to this point.  Now it is supposed to start raining, bad timing but at least some of the walls are starting to go up.  I got these pants the other day at Anne Taylor while I was up in Portland.  I really love how comfortable they are.  When I came home, I thought I would order another pair in creme but I couldn't find them on line. I didn't post the link because I was unable to find the pants.

The weather can't seem to make up its mind this week.  It was pouring rain, and then later it was over 80 degrees.  When it was raining it was 70 degrees.  I am starting to look forward to fall because we have had a very long hot summer.  I am excited to wear my coats and boots and have a chill in the air in the mornings.  I am also excited to go to Hawaii in October, even though it is probably the nicest time of year in Eugene, and I will miss the beautiful fall days.

Vintage cars and hearts

I love the old car pattern on this blouse.  When I was younger, I used to go to street rod festivals and old car shows with my dad.  I came to appreciate vintage cars and street rods and all the work that was put into the creative remodels people did.  I miss going to car shows and street rod weekends.  I will have to make a point of going to the next car show in Eugene.  We shot these photos on the highway because I felt it was the perfect setting for a car shirt.
